DS Const bags Karnataka project

New Delhi, May 23

DS Constructions Ltd on Tuesday announced that it has been awarded the Sandur bypass road project on build-operate-transfer basis by the Public Works Department, State Government of Karnataka. The concession period for the project is 20 years, which includes the 18-month construction period, said a company release. The project entails development of bypass road to Sandur town, which will help diverting the heavy iron ore traffic moving from mines situated in and around Sandur, away from the town. According to Mr M.S. Narula, Managing Director, DS Constructions Ltd, the project is valued at "Rs 40 crore approximately."
