Tech Mahindra Q4 net up 152 pc

Tech Mahindra Ltd (until recently Mahindra-British Telecom) said its net profit grew by 152 per cent for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2006.

The company reported a net profit of Rs 89 crore against Rs 35.3 crore during the year-ago fourth quarter. Revenues for the quarter, at Rs 421.2 crore, increased by 78 per cent year-on-year. The net profit for the year ended March 31, 2006 grew by 130 per cent to Rs 235.4 crore from Rs 102.4 crore the previous year.Its yearly revenues rose by 31 per cent, to Rs 1242.7 crore (Rs 945.6 crore).

Mr Vineet Nayyar, Vice-Chairman & MD, Tech Mahindra said, "The current quarter is a significant step in our endeavour to become a preferred IT solution provider to the telecom industry globally."
