Unitech bags major Noida land project

Unitech on Tuesday outbid rival DLF Universal to bag the 340-acre city development contract on Noida Expressway with an offer of Rs 1,583 crore. For the project where 50 per cent land would be used for open area development and greenery and the rest for residential accommodation, Unitech had bid at Rs 11,529 per sq. metre.

The reserve price was Rs 5,740 per sq. metre, which works out to approximately Rs 788 crore. The load density has been kept at a maximum of 250 persons per hectare.

In a company release, Mr Sanjay Chandra, Managing Director, Unitech Ltd said, "We understand that Unitech is the highest bidder in the tender for the development of Express City in UP. Express City is a milestone project in the real estate development industry which has been experiencing significant growth."
