`Allied' flavours

The menu at the Prime Minister's dinner to celebrate the UPA Government's anniversary reflected the regional flavour of the supporting parties. There was one table with Awadhi food (for the RJD), two tables offering South Indian fare (the DMK/PMK/MDMK), one Kashmiri stall (the Mufti's PDP) and, of course, a Bengali spread, especially for the Left parties.

P.S.: Guess what was Rahul Gandhi's pick that evening? He was spotted standing alone, back to the crowd, eating South Indian food.
