Shasun Chemicals net up marginally

Chennai, May 26

Shasun Chemicals and Drugs has reported net profit of Rs 13.15 crore on net sales of Rs 103.07 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. During the corresponding period in the previous year the company reported a net profit of Rs 12.41 crore on net sales of Rs 105.80 crore.

The company has recommended a final dividend of Rs 1.70 (85 per cent) on the share of Rs 2.

For the fiscal ended March 31, 2006, the company reported a net profit of Rs 36.50 crore (Rs 31.04 crore) on net sales of Rs 370.05 crore (Rs 337.33 crore). According to a press release from the company the board of directors have decided to issue 22.5 lakh convertible warrants each representing one equity share on preferential basis to promoters.
