NewGen implements new processes

Our Bureau

Coimbatore, May 28

NewGen Software Technologies has commenced implementation of five new processes at Kenya Airways. This is in continuation of its earlier implementation of 15 processes, which involved integration of workflow with multiple legacy applications. Mr Diwakar Nigam, Managing Director, NewGen noted that the implementation of this mega airlines project opened a window of opportunity for his company in Africa. The earlier processes automated at Kenya Airways include purchase process for purchase of stock and capital expenditure items, expenditure process (such as non-orders, prepayments and order mismatches), HR process (such as airline rebate and leave process), airline hotel voucher generation process, commercial stores processes and other administrative processes such as IT service request, document generation etc. The new processes (under implementation) include expense claims process, insurance process, hotel accommodation for consultants, layover calculation for crew and Kenya Airports Authority pass process. NewGen is planning to organise process improvement workshops at Kenya Airways in June.
