Focus Info plans expansion overseas

Career management is new biz line

Hyderabad , May 28

Focus Infotech, a human resource business process management solutions provider for IT companies, has now trained its attention on career management services and is eyeing overseas expansion.

The Co-Founder & CEO of Focus Infotech, Mr Veerendra R. Mathur, said temping or temporary staffing is popular among non-IT companies in the country, but it has gradually moved on to IT services companies.

"As more and more global IT companies establish offshore centres in India and expand their operations, they are comfortable inducting people from a service provider like us, he said.

Mr Mathur told Business Line the company's clients included the likes of IBM, Infosys and Satyam and they were comfortable sourcing people for specific projects. Interestingly, it is a win-win situation for career-minded professionalas also companies. Typically, these candidates are those who would ideally prefer working with say an IBM or Infosys, but were unable to make it there. But when they get to work on projects like these, they are well trained and become ideal for the company they work for. Typically, they later get employed in one of these companies. During the transition, Focus helps them build a career, guides and assists them to make the right choice. "All through, we have been addressing the domestic IT market and have a presence in the US. The domestic market comprises small players and scaling is a big issue," he said.
