The Hindu Metroplus Lifestyle expo

The Hindu Metroplus Lifestyle Show, an annual consumer exhibition organised by The Hindu, will be held from June 1 to 5 at the Chennai Trade Centre. The event will be held over 1.40 lakh sq ft of space and host over 250 companies in categories such as automobile, furniture and furnishing, arts and handicrafts, electronics, IT services, FMCG, textiles, jewellery and luxury items. Among the many attractions will be the new range of LCD screens by Samsung Electronics, display of the `Gold Expressions' brand of jewellery by Gitanjali Group and a contest by RmKV Wedding Silks to guess the number of colours in its new multi colour sari. An outdoor entertainment space has been created for at the centre to stage popular music bands and entertainment artistes every evening through the five-day exhibition. A multi-cuisine food court will be set up by Planet Yumm at the venue. The exhibition will be held from 10 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. every day and is being sponsored by Samsung along with the Gitanjali group, RmKV, Classic Polo and Kesar Gift Mart. This is the third year of hosting the exhibition in Chennai. There are plans to organise this event in six other cities this year.
