Edible oils rule steady

Except imported crude soya oil, all major edible oil prices remained steady on the local edible oil market on Monday on restricted buying. Imported crude soya oil was up Rs 3 at Rs 380 per 10 kg. Groundnut oil raw was steady at Rs 470 per 10 kg. Sunflower oil expeller was steady at Rs 400 per 10 kg. Castor oil commercial grade was steady at Rs 322 per 10 kg. RBD palmolein was steady at Rs 395 per 10 kg.

In futures segment, castor seed August contracts ended Rs 17 lower at Rs 1,521 a quintal.

Sugar firm

Sugar spot prices ruled firm on the Vashi wholesale market on Monday on some buying interest from local traders.

Small grade (S-30) was up Rs 10 at Rs 1,902/1,935 a quintal, while medium grade (M-30) was steady at Rs 1,928/1,975.
