New Delhi, May 29

Former captain of Indian cricket team Kris Srikkanth on Monday launched krishcricket.com, a cricket portal that offers gaming and sports entertainment.

"The main attractions of the portal are the games developed exclusively for this site. All the games can be played online and also on mobile phones. The major game offering on the site is Krish Cricket Challenge where the player can select his team, his opponent team, batting and bowling order, the fielding positions, the line and length of bowling and so on. The website also tracks and keeps a record of each user's scores and displays a list of leading performers," Mr Srikkanth said at a conference here. The site also offers `30 exciting moments' from 1983 World Cup Semi Final and final matches — that are available as video clips for downloading onto a mobile phone. Srikkanth said that the site would earn revenues from downloads as well as advertisements but declined to divulge projections.
