Kenstar enters Kerala market

Kenstar, leading maker of kitchen appliances, introduced its consumer electronic products in the Kerala market here on Monday.

Kenstar expansive range includes plasma TV sets sub-branded as `Solaris', LCD TV sets sub-branded as `Slate', flat TV sets sub-branded as `True Flat Televisions', Slim TV sets named `Sleeq', home theatres and DVDs.

Mr Rahul Sethi, Managing Director, said that the company projected a turnover of Rs 300 crore from the south India market during the current financial year. The company is planning to sell around 1,25,000 pieces of TV sets in the south during the period and of this, 30,000 pieces in the Kerala market alone. The company is at present concentrating only in the South for the sale of the products.

Kenstar had its first successful launch in April in Managalore and since then it has made inroads into various cities in the South.
