IMTMA plans exhibition centre

The Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) will set up an exhibition centre in Bangalore at a cost of over Rs 120 crore. The Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) Chairman, Mr Jamshyd N. Godrej, in a press statement said that the centre, being built near the Bangalore-Pune National Highway on a 40-acre land, will house the international machine tool exhibition, IMTEX, and other IMTMA organised events. The statement said this facility will have three large halls which can accommodate 40,000 sq metres of exhibition space. This centre will also house the association's design institute to train engineers as well as the association's productivity training centre.
