MARS launches Doxofylline

Hyderabad, May 30

MARS Therapeutics & Chemicals Ltd has announced the launch of its first European research molecule — Doxofylline— useful in the treatment of asthma and respiratory problems in India. Doxofylline, a new generation methylxanthine has been introduced by the Hyderabad-based company under the brand name Oxypur in 400 mg dosage, according to a press release. MARS has the sole manufacturing license in India under the agreement with Kent Union Ltd, Hong Kong & marketing cooperation of Eurodrug Laboratories, Belgium. The company is manufacturing under an exclusive agreement for Doxofylline formulations for Dr Reddy's Laboratories and Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd, the release said.
