New Products & Services Samsung hopes to sell 1 lakh LCD sets this year Our Bureau

Mumbai , May 30 Samsung India has launched its advanced `Bordeaux' series of LCD panels in the domestic market. The range is available in 26-, 32- and 40-inch screen sizes. At a press conference, Mr R. Zutshi, Deputy Managing Director, Samsung India, said, "Product innovation, technology leadership and design represent the pillars of our brand strategy. We expect the LCD segment to contribute 5 per cent of our turnover this year." Expecting to corner a 50 per cent share in the LCD segment, Samsung aims to sell more than one lakh LCD sets this year. Its new Bordeaux series is pegged between Rs 34,990 and Rs 3,00,000. Besides during the World Cup Soccer, the company is offering a `Triple Zero' (zero processing fee, zero interest and zero dealer down payment) finance offer on its entire LCD range.
