Nagarjuna Construction Co has declared its fourth quarter results. The company's net profit is up at Rs 34.9 crore from Rs 23.6 crore. Its net sales are up at Rs 640.4 crore from Rs 450 crore. Its OPM is up by 8.3 per cent from 7.1 per cent.

Excerpts from CNBC-TV18's exclusive interview with Mr YD Murthy:

On Rs 640 crore of sales in the year gone by, what can you do this year given your order book?

Last year, we achieved a turnover of Rs 1,842 crore, which is Rs 42 crore more than the guidance that we had given for the year ended March 2006. We have achieved a net profit of Rs 103.9 crore, which is 81 per cent more than the previous year's net profit. For the current year, the board has approved the business plan and we have given a guidance of Rs 3,000 crore, which is about 63 per cent over last year's number.

What about profitability for this year?

Normally, we do not give guidance for profits, but net profit margin will be something in the region of 5.6 per cent to 5.7 per cent on the turnover of the company.
