Announcements Industry & Economy - Power PSL lowest bidder for Dabhol-Panvel pipeline Our Bureau
Mumbai , May 31 PSL Ltd has announced that it has emerged as the lowest bidders in GAIL's fast track project - Dabhol-Panvel pipeline. The approximate value of the pipeline tender is Rs 218 crore. The company would provide GAIL with a 30-inch diameter continuous pipeline system from Dahej to Dabhol. This will enable high-pressure gas to flow from Petronet LNG plant at Dahej to the newly commissioned Ratnagiri power unit at Dabhol. The company recently expanded capacity at its Kandla plant. This expansion will help it include a 3,00,000 MT per annum high-pressure spiral pipe manufacturing facility. The Kandla plant is a modern unit with two-step Hellcal Pipe formation technology. "We expect to complete the supply of pipes to GAIL for all the above mentioned tenders prior to the completion schedule provided by GAIL this will enable PSL to accomplish this fast track supply," the company said in a release quoting its Managing Director, Mr Ashok Punj.
