Chennai , June 2

Hurix Systems, a Mumbai-based provider of knowledge solutions, will add 150 employees in Chennai in the next 12 months to take the total headcount in the city to 350, according to its Chief Operating Officer, Mr Visawamitra Hariharan.

In India, the company has about 450 employees, including 250 in Mumbai, and plans to ramp it up to about 600 by March 2007, he told newspersons.

It will recruit fresh graduates and experienced professionals from fine arts and English literature streams to work on education learning content. For example, for Cathay Pacific, one of its clients, Hurix would prepare an education learning content to train cabin crew on emergency landing procedures. This content will be available on the Web for the airline crew to access from any part of the world, he said.
