Samsung plans exclusive showrooms

Samsung Electronics is planning to set up exclusive showrooms - Samsung Digital Home - across the country. Mr V.L. Narayan, Regional Head (South), Samsung India, who was in the city to inaugurate the company's `Dream Home' Road Show said the company proposed to set up six exclusive outlets in the South before the close of the current fiscal.

The company, he said had registered a 900 per cent growth in the LCD TV segment in the first four months of the current year compared to the corresponding period of the earlier year. Samsung is targeting at one lakh LCD TV and panel sales this year. `We are in the process of rolling out eight regular TV models with focus on high sound. Some of these would come with a bundle offer before the World Cup,' Mr Narayan said.
