Super Spinning net down 9%

Super Spinning Mills Ltd has recorded a ten per cent drop in its sales income at Rs 87.68 crore during the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 97.42 crore for the same period in the previous fiscal. The audited financial results of the company has also revealed that its net profit for the quarter under review too came down by 9 per cent to Rs.5.89 crore as compared to Rs 6.52 crore in the previous year. The board has recommended an 80 per cent dividend for the equity shareholders for the year 2005-06. The year-on-year performance of the company has shown its net profit rising by 100 per cent to Rs 22.38 crore during the year ended March 31, 2006 as against the previous year's Rs11.22 crore, though the sales turnover during the year was marginally lower at Rs 363.17 crore as compared to Rs 367.52 crore.
