The third edition of the international expo on textile spares and accessories by the Coimbatore-based Southern India Mills Association (SIMA) will be held here between July 27and 31.

Dr K.V. Srinivasan, Chairman of the `SIMA-TexSpares 2006' organising committee, said the fair would draw over 200 exhibitors and an estimated 20,000 visitors from across the country.

Besides domestic spares/accessories producers, the fair attracted entries from many overseas textile machinery/equipment manufacturers including those from China, Europe.

Leading wind turbine generator producers would also participate.

To provide value addition to the expo, the organisers had planned to hold buyer-seller meet, customers meet and seminars in the fair, which would also serve as a common platform for the spares producers, user industry and technocrats to know each others' needs in sourcing spares/ technology, the SIMA release added.
