New Products & Services Variety - Books Outlook group brings Marie Claire to India Our Bureau
Mumbai , June 5 Marie Claire, a women's magazine published by Groupe Marie Claire of France, has been launched in India in partnership with the Outlook Group. Winner of the Best Women's Magazine and Magazine of the Year award for 2005, the magazine reportedly has over 14 million readers worldwide. With 26 editions in 13 languages across the world, Marie Claire sells over four million copies. The Indian edition marks the 26th for the magazine and will be positioned as "thinking women's fashion magazine." Marie Claire India, which has the tagline of `let me be me', begins a campaign against moral policing from the word go. The magazine will offer Indian readers a unique editorial mix of serious journalism with glamour, transposed and adapted to the Indian reality by an Indian editorial team. Targeted at women between 25 and 35, the magazine promises to give women what they want; gorgeous fashion coverage, beauty tips, and cutting edge features stories that will make them think, laugh or cry. The magazine will be priced at Rs 50 and contain around 230 pages.
