Gold & Silver Gold, silver rule weak Our Bureau
Mumbai , June 8 Precious metals continued to rule weak on the local bullion market on Thursday on lack of fresh buying amid weak overseas market. Standard gold prices were down Rs 55 at Rs 9,245 per 10 gm from Rs 9,300. Pure gold (99.99 fineness) was down Rs 55 to close at Rs 9,295 per 10 gm from Rs 9,350. Silver (.999 fineness) price was down Rs 350 to close at Rs 17,505 from Rs 17,855 a kg on weak overseas market. Chennai: Bar silver: Rs 18,230; retail silver (per gm): Rs 19.50; Standard gold: Rs 9,430; retail ornament gold (22 carat per gm): Rs 873. Kolkata: Silver ready: Rs 16,800; Gold ready: Rs 9,415.
