Lorry strike on June 13

Coimbatore, June 8

The State Lorry Owners' Federation - Tamil Nadu has decided to support the call of the All India Motor Transport Congress to observe a nationwide strike on June 13 to protest against the increase in the price of diesel and petrol. Mr P. Sengodan, federation President, Namakkal, said that lorries would be off the road from 6 a.m. on June 13 to 6 a.m. the next day and requested truck operators not to ply the vehicles during the strike period.
