WEEKEND GETAWAY: The view from the top of Matheran located 110 km from Mumbai. This luscious green hill station is at an altitude of 800 metres (2,630 ft) above sea level. There is a total ban on all types of motor vehicles within the town limits. Matheran is dotted with around 33 lookout points - from where one can get a spectacular view of the plains below or across the Western Ghats.
