Chennai , June 11 Avtar Career Creators, a city-based placement company, will hire about 100 part-time women employees to work for a large multinational organisation. Candidates with a good command of English and the right attitude to fit into the workplace would be considered for the job, according to a company press release.
Part-time jobs
Avtar, which offers services in the areas of human resources consulting, recruitment solutions and executive search, has been obtaining mandates from companies for recruiting women professionals for part-time jobs, the release says. "We have been meeting women candidates who have no prior experience in any industry and are actually stepping out of their homes in search of a career for the first time. And with just a bit of orientation, they are able to become good performers in industries such as banking, BPO and recruitment consulting," said Mr. K. Umasanker, Chief-Client Services, Avtar. Avtar had earlier launched its Interim Managers Network, AVTAR I-WIN, which aims at providing part-time, flexi-time or project-style careers for women professionals who have taken a career break. Ms Saundarya Rajesh, CEO, Avtar, said the company had over 1,500 women professionals who have taken a sabbatical due to maternity or transfers but who have blended back into the workforce.
