Direct Marketing Amway unveils new range of shampoos Our Bureau
Chennai , June 13
Amway India on Tuesday launched its Satinique range of shampoos and conditioners. Mr William S. Pinckney, Managing Director and CEO, Amway India Enterprises, said that the products are based on the Ceramide Infusion System, which replaces lost ceramides and proteins found naturally in the hair. With the launch of these products, the company would look to increase revenue to Rs 700 crore by the end of the year from Rs 633 crore last year, said Mr Pinckney. He said that the newly launched products would be sold through the company's 4.5 lakh active Amway business owners. Currently, nutrition, health and beauty products form 75 per cent of the company's revenues, with cleaning products contributing the rest. The Satinique range of shampoos is available in 250 ml packs and priced at Rs 349 each. The company would be looking at marketing and selling sachets as well, since the sachet segment makes up50 per cent of the shampoo market in the country.
