Coimbatore , June 13

Bureau Veritas is bullish about its India operations. This professional service organisation, which offers quality, health, safety, environment, management and social accountability certification to different industrial sectors and product, has recorded revenue growth of 35 per cent year-on-year.

Dr Ryszard Kazsuba, Chief Regional Executive, Bureau Veritas (India) Pvt Ltd, said the certification business was growing at an annual rate of 15 per cent. "With many different projects coming up, the demand for such services is bound to rise in the coming years," he said.

Expand network

In its bid to serve better and be closer to the client, Bureau Veritas has sought to expand its office network. Dr Kazsuba said the network had risen from 18 in 2002 to 31 at present. Bureau Veritas would establish presence in 10 more cities to reach 41 by 2007-end.

The organisation is targeting industrial hubs for setting up offices. It has identified Tuticorin, Pondicherry and Madurai as potential destination for establishing its presence. The Coimbatore arm was inaugurated last week and the organisation is in the process of scaling up its Tiruchi office.
