Retailing Industry & Economy - Human Resources Ma Foi launches `job centres' in Mumbai Our Bureau
Chennai , June 14 Ma Foi Management Consultants Ltd, a Chennai-based staffing and human resources services provider, has forayed into retailing of job opportunities by opening up job centres in Mumbai. The centres would offer job opportunities to candidates at convenient locations and in their immediate locality. It has launched seven job centres in Mumbai and will establish a total of 25 by the year-end. The model would be replicated in Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi and Pune, Mr K. Pandia Rajan, Managing Director and CEO, Ma Foi, told newspersons. Candidates with experience and background in call centre, financial services, retail, FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) and business process outsourcing, could register at these job centres. This would also be advantageous to small-sized companies of the neighbourhood to tap talent, he said. All the job centres would be connected through broadband, and (SMS) short messaging service and IVRS (interactive voice response system) facilities are provided at centres to increase efficiency. The company has put up its own centre, and was open to having business partners to run the centres, which would also do counselling. A centre would cost Rs 2-3 lakh, he said. According to Mr Rajan, for getting candidates, small and medium size companies are dependent on three modes of searches local consultants, walk-in advertisements and reference/word of mouth. The candidates would not pay any registration fee, and Ma Foi would charge only the companies, he said.
