Career Launcher plans chain of schools

V. Rishi Kumar

Hyderabad , June 14

Career Launcher, a test preparation and training solutions provider, plans to start a chain of about 100 schools across the country.

The founder-Chairman, Mr Satya Narayanan R., said that some pilot schools are being set up at Hyderabad and Indore; the company plans to develop other schools around them.

"After test showcasing these schools, which will be ready later this year, we plan to partner with local entrepreneurs with an educational bent of mind, not just making profits, and create a chain of about 100 schools across the country."

Speaking to Business Line, Mr Satya Narayanan, said that the company now manages about 100 test preparation centres for management graduates and logged in revenues of Rs 70 crore last year, which is poised to reach Rs 100 crore this year.

"We offer education in a corporatised format. India is sitting on a huge opportunity out there to be tapped. In an environment where education has been mainly Government-driven all these years, there is slow and yet steady inroad by private players. The opportunity is huge," he said.

"We are in talks with large corporate houses for support. Infosys and Satyam could potentially sponsor some of these students."
