Symphony Services opens second centre in Bangalore

Bangalore , June 14

Outsourcing firm Symphony Services has inaugurated its second facility in Bangalore. Spread over 2 lakh sq ft, the centre can seat 2,000.

The company has two more centres in India, at Pune and Mumbai respectively.

Symphony has released 620 products till date and developed 240 this year. "This shows that the world trusts India to do innovation," said Mr Gordon Brooks, CEO and President, Symphony Services.

The company plans to set up base in China, he said, adding, "There are only two countries with the scale — India and China. We will have 10 per cent of our workforce in China in the next couple of years."

Elaborating on expansion plans in India, Mr Ajay Kela, COO and Managing Director, said that capacity at Pune would be doubled. Currently 400 engineers are employed there.

The $100-million firm employs 3,000 and has registered 170 per cent compounded annual growth from 2002 to 2005.
