General Insurance Industry & Economy - Health Vijaya Bank ties up with National Insurance Our Bureau
Coimbatore , June 15 Vijaya Bank has introduced `V-Arogya Bima', a health-cum-accident insurance policy for the benefit of its customers in association with National Insurance Company (NIC). The policy covers the account holder, his/her spouse and two dependent children below 21 years. Under Sec-1 that is a hospitalisation policy, the entire family would be covered under a `floater sum insured' and either one or all the family members could utilise the sum insured. Under Sec-II of the policy covering accident insurance also, the sum insured would be available to each person and every member of the family would be covered for the sum insured, a release from the bank here said. Mr H. Vittaldas Shetty, Regional Manager, Vijaya Bank, Chennai, inaugurated the insurance mobilisation programme in Coimbatore today at which Mr S. Sethuraman, Chief Regional Manager, NIC, Coimbatore, and Dr K.K. Prachit of K.G. Hospital, Coimbatore, spoke.
