i-flex to support Karnataka educational initiative

Our Bureau

Bangalore , June 15

i-flex Solutions has announced an investment of Rs one crore to develop a comprehensive Decision Support System under an educational initiative.

The company on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka Government to provide technology support for a landmark initiative, `Karnataka schools towards quality education'. This initiative aims to significantly improve the quality of elementary education in schools across the State.

Under the MoU, i-flex Solutions will develop the system at its own cost, to help the Department of Education monitor the quality of elementary education in schools across the state, said the release issued by the company.

This would be developed by i-flex's Center for Business Intelligence in two phases.

The first phase has just been completed and has helped the Karnataka State Quality Assessment Organization, a part of the Department of Education, analyse the quality of education of around 19 lakh children in 41,000 schools.
