Rama Rao is new IPE chief

Hyderabad , June 15

Prof P. Rama Rao, Member, Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) has been appointed the new President of the Institute of Public Enterprises (IPE).

Prof Rao, a noted metallurgist and former Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DST) is currently the ISRO Dr Brahm Prakash distinguished Professor. Presiding over the 12th batch of the Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management students, Prof Rao said there was need to cultivate research aptitude among the participants.

He said that the students should derive the best benefits for the society, industry and individual, the IPE said in a press release.

The Director, Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), Mr Arvind Sharma, who inaugurated the programme, asked the participants to nurture excellence through time management, industry interactions, group learning and observation.
