Oilseeds & Edible Oil Edible oils turn weak Our Bureau
Mumbai , June 15 Except groundnut oil, imported edible oils prices ruled weak on the local edible oil market on Thursday on increased offerings by importers on news that the government has cut tariff value by $6 per tonne on edible oils. Groundnut oil increased on some fresh enquiries. Imported crude soya oil was down Rs 3 at Rs 375 per 10 kg. RBD palmolein was down Rs 3 at Rs 397 per 10 kg on news of fresh revision. "There will be a valuation adjustment of about Rs 2.35 per 10 kg downwards in case of crude palm oil, Rs 2.65 per 10 kg downwards in case of RBD palm oil and Rs 3.68 per 10 kg downwards in case of crude soyabean oil," an analyst said. Castor oil commercial grade was steady at Rs 325 per 10 kg. Groundnut oil raw was up Rs 5 at Rs 485 per 10 kg. Sunflower oil expeller was down Rs 2 at Rs 395 per 10 kg. In futures segment, castor seed August contracts ended higher at Rs 1,541 per quintal, up by Rs 3 over previous day.
