IDBI opens Andheri branch

Mumbai, June 15

IDBI Ltd on Thursday opened its third branch in Andheri. Mr O.V. Bundellu, Managing Director, IDBI, inaugurated the branch, said a press release from the bank. The branch is located at New Link Road, Andheri (West). The release quoted Mr Bundellu as saying, "With the commissioning of the new branch, IDBI now operates through a network of 177 branches, four extension counters and 393 ATMs spread across 103 cities. We will be stepping up our branch expansion drive during the current financial year." The bank plans to ramp up its branch network to 500 by March-end 2008, the release said.
