Reprieve on cards

Deeptha Rajkumar

Counters such as Atlas Copco and Havell India could be looking at some reprieve given Thursday's sharp reversal in market sentiment. Despite these companies having declared a 1:1 bonus a short while ago, the stocks were actually trading ex-bonus - given the broad market fall.

For instance, the share price of Atlas Copco, which had been ruling at Rs 2,000-levels during the bonus announcement, is now ruling at around Rs 1,000-levels.

Similarly, Havell India, which was ruling at around Rs 800-levels, is currently quoting at Rs 400-levels.

Atlas Copco closed at Rs 1,050.15, up five per cent on the BSE, while Havell India ended the day at Rs 484.60, up 4.86 per cent.
