Our Bureau

Bangalore, June 18

According to security firm Fortinet, the latest Microsoft vulnerability, CVE-2006-0022, has been discovered in many versions of MS PowerPoint. The vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via a MS PowerPoint document and let the attacker take full control of the client workstation. The attacker could then download and install further malicious code and access private user information, said a company release. MS PowerPoint users should immediately apply the updated patches provided on the company's site.
