Fuel price hike

The Centre is trying hard to convince the people that it has hiked the petrol and diesel prices only to help the loss-making public sector oil companies.

If that is true, the Government should also ask these companies to cut costs, limit staff perks, reduce internal and external corruption, minimise pilferage, produce more efficiently and effectively, improve employee productivity and so on.

Also, they should be allowed to function free from all political interference.

Price rise can never be the one and only solution.
