Castorseed August contracts fell below the Rs 1,500-mark on increased offerings by operators on the edible oil market on Monday.

Imported crude soya oil was down Rs 2 at Rs 371 per 10 kg. RBD palmolein was down Re 1 at Rs 397 per 10 kg. Castor oil commercial grade was steady at Rs 323 per 10 kg. Groundnut oil raw was down Rs 5 at Rs 485 per 10 kg. Sunflower oil expeller was up Rs 3 at Rs 400 per 10 kg.

In futures segment, castor seed August contracts ended at Rs 1,496 per quintal, down by Rs 12.

Sugar weak

Sugar spot prices weakened on the wholesale market on Monday on increased offerings. Small grade (S-30) was down Rs 5 at Rs 1,870-1,910 a quintal, while medium grade (M-30) was down Rs 5 at Rs 1,900-1,960.
