Mr Ramesh said the National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (Nabard) "has agreed to participate" a replantation package for coffee, rubber and tea. The initiative aims at replanting 80,000 hectares of tea, 50,000 hectares of rubber, 90,000 hectares of coffee and 50,000 hectares of pepper. Replantation increases productivity as seen in the case of cardamom. Post-replantation, productivity in cardamom plantations increased from 75 kg per hectare to 230 kg, Mr Ramesh said. -
