Edible oils rule steady

Mumbai , June 21

Except sunflower oil, RBD palmolein, groundnut oil and crude soya oil prices remained steady on the local edible oil market on Wednesday on stray buying interest.

Sunflower oil expeller was down Rs 3 at Rs 397 per 10 kg. Imported crude soya oil was steady at Rs 371 per 10 kg. RBD palmolein was steady at Rs 396 per 10 kg. Groundnut oil raw was steady at Rs 485 per 10 kg. Castor oil commercial grade was steady at Rs 324 per 10 kg.

In futures segment, castor seed August contracts ended at Rs 1,495 per quintal, down Re 1 over previous day.

Sugar dips further

Sugar spot prices fell further on the wholesale market on Wednesday in the absence of fresh buying from retailers .

Small grade (S-30) was down Rs 10 at Rs 1,855-1,895 a quintal, while medium grade (M-30) was down Rs 15 at Rs 1,890-1,.
