LACK OF DEMAND: A worker grading coconuts for making copra at a farm near Kochi. Non-implementation of the minimum support price (MSP) for copra coupled with a drop in demand for coconut oil has pushed down copra prices to Rs 3,050 a quintal. The Centre has fixed copra MSP at Rs 3,590.
