SRF up on buyback price buzz

SRF Ltd continued to attract buying interest on Thursday on expectations that the company may fix the buyback offer at about Rs 240 per share, dealers said.

They said the board of the company, which is meeting on Friday, is also likely to announce purchase of 40 lakh shares from the market through the buyback.

On Thursday, SRF's shares went up by 4.54 per cent to Rs 201.40 (on the BSE). Over the last one-week period, the stock has jumped by 25 per cent from Rs 160.40.

The counter has also been witnessing significant volumes over the last 2-3 trading sessions.
