Puma opens first store

Chennai , June 23

Puma Sports India Ltd launched its first exclusive showroom in the country here on Friday.

The Managing Director, Mr Rajiv Mehta, told presspersons that the 1,500 sq ft store would sell shoes, accessories and apparel over categories of sports and lifestyle.

The company would shortly launch stores in all the major metros, and plans to have presence in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai by the year-end, and would aim to become the top brand for sports and accessories in the country, he said.

In this endeavour, apart from the distribution channels, the company would aim to launch a marketing campaign that would look to corner a 10 per cent share of voice in the industry.
