Speaking at the launch of the Moto Pebl handsets in four new colours, Mr Lloyd Mathias, Director Marketing of Motorola India Pvt Ltd said, "R&D in India is important, firstly, because the country has a great technological base, and secondly, it is the second fastest growing market in the world after China. He also informed that Motorola's manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu would be functional by the first quarter of 2007.
