Firm trend continues in spot rubber

Kottayam , June 24

Spot rubber maintained the firm trend on Saturday. The traders seemed to be expecting a recovery in international indices on Monday. Sheet rubber was quoted at Rs 106.50 and Rs 107 respectively at Kottayam and Kochi against Rs 106.00 a kg on Friday.

Futures weak

Futures market closed slightly weak on NMCE. The July contract finished at Rs 109.50 (Rs 109.61), August contract at Rs 110.55 (Rs 110.64), September contract at Rs 106.90 (Rs 107.08) and October contract at Rs 104.00 (Rs 104.00) per kg for RSS 4.

Spot prices (Rs a kg) were: RSS-4: Rs 106.50 (Rs 106); RSS-5: Rs 104.00 (Rs 103.50); ungraded: Rs 98 (Rs 98); ISNR 20: Rs 101 (Rs 101) and latex 60 per cent: Rs 78.95 (Rs 78.95).
