Bank of Rajasthan net loss narrows

Mumbai , June 26

Bank of Rajasthan reported a decrease in net loss of Rs 4.82 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006, from a net loss of Rs 12.09 crore in the year ago quarter.

The bank declared a dividend of 2.5 per centand the total income was Rs 177.8 crore against Rs 157.8 crore. The net interest income was Rs 58.53 crore (Rs 58.3 crore).

For the full year, the net profit fell to Rs 15.02 crore (Rs 35.01 crore)and the total income was Rs 601 crore (Rs 586.1 crore). The net interest income was Rs 222.32 crore ( Rs 213.44 crore).

The bank reduced the net NPA from 2.5 per cent to 0.99 per cent, said a press release from the bank. The capital adequacy ratio fell to 10.6 per cent from 12.75 per cent.
