Farm sector in focus

The Prime Minister's proposed Vidarbha tour has also raised much hope. The reasons for farmers' suicides in different regions may differ. But thecommon features are frustration at the lack of funds, inability to adjust to globalisation, lack of required advice and support and in general the neglect of the farm sector. The Government should take remedial steps to stop the suicide trend immediately.
