Chilli may recover

Dhimant Bhatt

Mumbai , July 2

Red chilli futures prices may recover from lower level this week on emergence of fresh buying support from stockists amid reduced supply, despite reports of stray buying enquiries from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, traders said.

Red chilli LCA 334 (pala) July contracts on NCDEX were down Rs 160 to Rs 4,491 a quintal (Ex-Guntur) on Saturday over previous week's close on speculative selling, while August contracts were down Rs 300 to Rs 4,770 a quintal (ex-Guntur)."Prices may recover at the current level as supply reduced," a local trader said.
