WTO talks

This is with reference to "WTO talks collapse in Geneva" (Business Line, July 2):. With FTAs and bilateral treaties gaining ground, the WTO seems to fast losing its importance. But instead of fighting against their subsidies, why not we restructure our subsidies to farmers to meet the challenge?
